Nurse Practitioners

They are partners with the physicians and can see you for many of your office visit needs and follow-up obstetrical appointments. By utilizing our mid-level providers our physicians are able to see patients with more complicated medical needs, for surgical procedures, for physician referral consults, and when needed to deliver a baby on short notice.  Having mid-level providers in the office, along with the physicians, guarantees your medical questions are answered and a plan of care is determined at your visit. 

Carrie Severa, ARNP
Carrie was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated in 2006 from College of Saint Mary in Omaha with her bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She worked in Omaha as an RN on a general medical/orthopedic floor prior to working in labor and delivery.  She found her calling to continue her education in women’s health; in May of 2012, she graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program. She is certified by the National Certification Corporation and is a licensed nurse practitioner in both Iowa and Nebraska. 

She believes it is important to focus on health promotion and disease prevention while taking into consideration personal, religious, cultural, and family beliefs.
